![]() So it's good to me to access the ultra-low level system, I don't what a COM interface. keep in mind that my aim is to receive input from any remote controller, even TV ones. WEC does not compatible with over 98 of driver. Go to Device Manager right click on My Computer, choose Manage and then find Device Manager in the left panel 2. Winbond CIR Transceiver / Driver, NotebookReview. The ENE CIR receiver is a device installed in most computers and televisions that detects infrared signals sent by a mouse, keyboard, or remote control. Winbond HID CIR Receiver driver is a windows driver. I would not be writing here if the cir was bound to a COM port, but it is not! So I'm stuck, because I don't know what API I have to use to at least read from the receiver: the only pertaining info I found on msdn is this, but I don't think that I should look in driver stuff. The ENE CIR HID recievers full product name is the Winbond HID CIR Receiver. N evertheles, I can see two device in the device manager, under the HID hub: one called "ENE CIR receiver" (and its driver is by ENE), and another called (tranlsating from italian) Microsoft eHome Infrared Transceiver (driver hidir.sys): so, if I'm not mistaking the word transceiver, it should be able to transmit data too. I have a notebook with a built-in CIR unit, and here a first doubt comes: it seems that CIR are able only to receive data, not transmit the manufacturer looks to be ENE. ![]() First time I post here, so forgive me if the question is not in the riht section.
